Presented at the ATP Innovations in Testing 2021 Virtual Conference
This case study in program design examines how one highly regarded IT certification program redesigned their program from the ground up. The redesign intentionally emphasized flexibility for candidates’ lifelong learning and certification journeys by allowing certifications to be focused on both job roles and technology areas. The program concurrently stressed a need to avoid assessment redundancies and the importance of keeping training and assessment content relevant and accurate (a monumental task within the constantly changing world of IT). This session explores program design and how intentional activities add value for all stakeholders, ensuring that no stakeholders are slighted. The audience will learn more about program design, implementing a new program in the face of an existing program, and how to emphasize relevance for all stakeholders with flexibility for candidates in their learning and assessment paths.
Speakers:
- Ken Salchow, F5 Networks
