Head of Product and Services

Position Description

As our Head of Product, you will serve as a key member of Company’s leadership team, setting the product and service vision and strategy while ensuring that every initiative aligns with broader company objectives. You’ll be responsible for translating market opportunities into actionable product and services roadmaps, cultivating an environment of continuous improvement, and fostering cross-functional collaboration across design, development, marketing, and sales. The Head of Product will also champion user-centric thinking, ensuring that product decisions not only meet business targets but elevate the entire user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Product Vision & Leadership
    • Set and refine long-term product and service vision aligned with Company’s mission and objectives
    • Analyze market landscapes within testing, credentialing, and assessments to identify opportunities
    • Integrate regulatory and compliance considerations into strategic plans
    • Manage and mentor teams of product managers and specialists across various lines of business
  • Portfolio & Roadmap Management
    • Oversee product and services portfolio development and maintenance
    • Manage product backlog and pipeline to ensure effective market delivery
    • Execute product/service lifecycle from conceptualization to sunset
    • Maintain prioritized, data-driven roadmaps balancing innovation and market demands
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
    • Work with leadership, engineering, and operations to translate business requirements
    • Act as primary point of contact for product- and services-related communications
    • Collaborate with UI/UX teams to craft intuitive interfaces
    • Partner with development and QA teams to ensure quality delivery
    • Lead go-to-market strategies, functional requirements, documentation, and training initiatives
  • User Insights & Performance Management
    • Champion user research and usability testing
    • Analyze product and service performance through KPIs and analytics
    • Implement feedback loops for continuous product enhancement
    • Share insights with stakeholders to inform future product evolution

Competencies

  • Outstanding communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities
  • Deep expertise in Agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum)
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration capabilities
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment (e.g., self-starter, disciplined, troubleshooting)

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading product management initiatives in technology or education-centric software environments
  • Demonstrated experience with product management platforms and analytics tools
  • Up to 50% travel

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Knowledge of testing, credentialing, and assessment industry trends
  • Experience scaling product and service portfolios
  • Familiarity with Asana, Figma, and similar tools
