The new CM Connect ™ Badging feature gives testing programs the ability to issue badges to candidates in recognition of a candidate’s accomplishments in their credentialing program. When using CM Connect, candidates can manage and share their badges to common social media networks (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter), display badges within their personal email signature, or transfer them to other badge repositories—securely and easily. Shared badges additionally allow third-parties to accurately verify candidate accomplishments including the criteria required to earn the badge along with the badge’s validation period.

In addition to the new badging feature, Alpine is simultaneously launching an update to its candidate transcript management features that both provides enhanced functionality and standardizes the ability for candidates to share their transcripts with third parties. With this update, candidates can combine all or choose select accomplishments to create a transcript and share these transcripts on social media sites, via an online link, or directly to a third-party via email. Candidates will also have the ability to select with whom or to where transcripts are shared and have the ability to track the number of times each transcript is viewed. Candidates will now have the option of creating a standard transcript or including badges within their transcripts for those programs offering badges. “Testing program managers using CM Connect Credential Management System now have an option that synchronizes candidate badges across multiple applications,” said Blair Harris, Director of Technology Solutions. “Alpine continually strives to provide our clients and the industry with the best possible experience and offer the best possible full-lifecycle credential management solutions.”

The new CM ConnectBadging and transcript features will be made available at no additional cost to current CM Connect Standard clients and were made available July 22, 2015 .
